DOGS, PEOPLE, AND EVEN A SQUIRREL! - (PHOTOHTAPHY SERIES)

It rained terribly in my town today, for about four hours. I'm already reaching my annual stage where I irreversibly begin to "hate the rainy season" because the amount of water that can fall on days like these paralyzes the town and usually damages houses and streets which are already quite deteriorated here. Besides the rain, the now excessively frequent power outages of more than six hours, temperatures up to 34°C, humidity above 92%, and a healthy dose of mosquitoes eager to bite humans, all contribute to what I sarcastically call a "tropical drama." So yes, obviously, I was in a terrible mood today with all this. As soon as we had electricity again, I dove headfirst into my little studio, closed the door, and sat down at my PC to select photos to process and then assemble this post to share with you here on #Hive. Fortunately, doing this has a calming effect on me, and I usually end up feeling much better afterward... And well, I found some photos of dogs, others of people, and even of a cute squirrel watching me from a tree trunk!

Good morning @jlinaresp, I'm glad you found a good refuge from the tropical heatwave; the photos are excellent. Best regards.
That really is a tropical drama, everything happens at once, and the worst bits are the humidity and the mosquitoes, although power cuts bring life to a standstill these days. Your refuge is photography, and I think that’s brilliant because it can help lift your spirits. I’ve heard it’s been raining in many parts of Venezuela and has even caused flooding. The planet seems a bit unsettled, as if it’s finally complaining about all the mistreatment, what do you think?
But I look at the photos and admire your work, those glances down at the ground searching for an answer, or the dogs greeting you, perhaps that beautiful squirrel playing, but with the mist always present. Thank you always for your great work, a big hug!🤗

Thank you so much for stopping by, appreciating, and supporting my photography work @avdesing friend! Yes, fortunately, we're in the highest part of a valley and the water flows, however, many nearby hamlets have been affected by flooding, so far only with material losses in the municipality. But in general, the entire territory of Venezuela is suffering from intense rains, strong winds, and electrical storms, registering damage and loss of life already in some states. Certainly, the weather is "very, very crazy" because it's raining strangely, going several days without rain, and then experiencing just as many days of intense rain that far exceed the usual average rainfall. Also, we're still having seismic aftershocks several times a week and the ambient temperature is absurdly high for this time of year... It's like being in one of those sci-fi movies I watched as a teenager, wow! 😬 But well, we have to keep our spirits up and carry on! Greetings and thanks again!

I really enjoyed this series. The mix of people, dogs and that little squirrel makes the photos feel so natural and full of everyday life.
