Super Mario Odyssey possible plot, why are we collecting moons? [SPOLER ALERT]

Hey guys,
First off, I'm a big Mario fan, and I'm soooo exicted of the next upcoming Mario "sandbox style" game. My absolute favortite is Super Mario 64 (I've been able to finish the game with no stars using an emulator with xbox one controller ^O^).

I saw this really good youtube video from The Game Theorists channel and I believe that they actually guested the main plot of the next mario game.

Here is a brief summary of their Theory:

The final bowser fight is going to be on the Moon during "Bowser's wedding". All around donk city are posters of bowser and peaches wedding, and Mario, instead of collecting Stars is now collecting Moons. To back off "the almost confirmed" final stage set on the moon are many other factors:

• At the end of the main trailer, the camera focues on the moon before having the main game title apearing
• In every level we have seen so far there is the moon in the background
• It's in the song lyrics
• The moon in the japaneese culture is very "marked", got many divine references
• Bowser's main henchmen are rabbits, in mutiple cultures rabbits are the symbol of the moon (http://silvermoon424.tumblr.com/post/7497230901/sailor-moon-mythology-the-rabbit-on-the-moon)
