[ESP-ENG]La Gran Rifa

Una de las características del venezolanos es la manera en que se mueve diligentemente para impulsar la economía del hogar. Hoy contamos en el país con un gran número de emprendedores y yo no soy la excepción, tengo mi emprendimiento con la cría de animales que ya ustedes conocen porque lo he compartido en post anteriores.

One of the characteristics of Venezuelans is the way they move diligently to boost the household economy. Today we have in the country a large number of entrepreneurs and I am no exception, I have my venture with animal husbandry that you already know because I have shared it in previous posts.

Estamos en unos meses del año en que la economía no es muy fluctuante por cuestiones tiempo en la producción agrícola (la producción agrícola es el motor económico del la zona donde vivo), así que la venta de lechones o aves de engorde no tiene salida rápida para un pequeño emprendedor como yo. En vista de la situación decidí hacer una sorteo que denomine: "La Gran Rifa".

We are in a few months of the year in which the economy is not very fluctuating due to time issues in agricultural production (agricultural production is the economic engine of the area where I live), so the sale of piglets or fattening birds has no quick way out for a small entrepreneur like me. In view of the situation I decided to make a raffle that I called: "La Gran Rifa" (The Great Raffle).

"La Gran Rifa" consistió en un sorteo que hice con 100 números de un talonario, que puse en en venta. Cada número tuvo el costo de 1$. De esos 100 números solo alcance vender 47 en cuestión de 12 días. En total fueron 47$ recolectados.

"The Big Raffle" consisted of a drawing I did with 100 numbers from a booklet, which I put up for sale. Each number had the cost of 1$. Of those 100 numbers, I only managed to sell 47 in a matter of 12 days. In total$47 was collected.

El PREMIO: Un Lechon de 9Kg. Y un Casal de patos pichones.

The PRIZE: A 9 kg piglet and a Casal of pigeon ducks.

Sorteo: Consistió en llevar a la suerte solo los 47 números del talonario que se vendieron. Marcados en unos papelitos individuales y puesto en una pequeña bolsa.
Mi hijo de 3años en frente de una cantidad de testigos que a la vez eran participantes de la rifa, metió su mano y saco el primer papel, cuyo número fue el 95. Éste fue el ganador del Lechón.

Raffle: It consisted of taking to the lot only the 47 numbers of the booklet that were sold. Marked on individual pieces of paper and placed in a small bag.
My 3 year old son, in front of a number of witnesses who were also participants in the raffle, put his hand in and drew the first piece of paper, whose number was 95.

Una segunda vez que metió su mano saco el número 39, quien fue el ganador del casal de patos.

A second time he put his hand in and drew the number 39, who was the winner of the duck house.

De esta manera me la he ingeniado para tener salida de estos animales y poder suplir ciertas necesidades económicas en mi casa. Al mismo tiempo los ganadores han estado bastante contentos, hoy también crían sus propios cerdos y patos.

In this way I have managed to get rid of these animals and to be able to supply certain economic needs in my house. At the same time the winners have been quite happy, today they also raise their own pigs and ducks.

NOTA:
En el estado donde vivo (Sucre), es bastante costosa la producción de estos animales. El saco de 40Kg de compuesto para cerdos y aves tiene un valor de 28$. Tomando en cuenta este factor y otros que se adhieren a la producción avícola y porcicola, el precio de los lechones en general varían entre 40 y 70$< dependiendo de la raza del animal. El casal de patos varía entre 10 y 15$, dependiendo el tamaño de las aves.

NOTE:
In the state where I live (Sucre), it is quite expensive to produce these animals. A 40 kg bag of compound for pigs and poultry costs $28. Taking into account this factor and others that adhere to poultry and pig production, the price of piglets in general varies between$40 and $70 depending on the breed of animal. The price of ducks varies between$10 and $15, depending on the size of the birds.
