In the previous post I explained how to configure the password and the name of our wireless network (WI-FI),

But when connecting a device to our network we can sometimes have a level of vulnerability that in this post I will teach you to avoid it. As I explained to you when the Routers come from the factory they have as credentials a user and default password, which are usually admin; admin, and this can be get on the back of the equipment.

  1. To enter the configuration, we will do it as I explained.

  3. We do not go to the System Tools tab, then the Password option.
  4. Being here we proceed to change the password for our income in the following way:

  • Where it says Old user Name and Old Password, we will place the user and password respectively that it has at the moment.
  • In New User Name and New Password, we will place the user and the new password and where it says Confirm New Password, we simply repeat our new password.

And ready! With these simple and short steps we can further protect the security of our wireless network, remembering that the next login to the configuration of our router must be done with the new user and our new password.
