Hello everybody!

This morning, or during the morning and noon, the price of BTC dropped quite drastically. For some exchanges, even the support level of $ 7800 was broken, at least for a short time.

Reason for this could be that with HitBTC one of the larger stock exchanges was forced to stop the service. Officially this was caused by a hardware failure. Since HitBTC is one of the Top 10 Exchanges, this almost inevitably leads to a temporary market reaction. Especially when specific information is missing.

Here is the message from HitBTC:

Dear traders, the HitBTC exchange is temporary unavailable from 11:25 UTC due to a hardware fault. We are working on resolving it - please allow maximum 2 hours for full recovery. Your funds are safe.

Albeit, I was just able to log in again just now. Since everything is still as it should be, I do not expect that damage has occurred.

The market should relax and BTC can continue on its journey.
