The Mining Era is Over?

BITCOIN MINING

Hello everyone?

I see that the number of people, including me interested in bitcoin and crypto has risen so fast that mining bitcoin is almost not easy or at least not profitable(?) since the difficulty level of mining has also risen a lot.
So, does that actually mean that the mining era has gone? What is your thoughts on that?

Or are there any other altcoins to mine with a relatively less number of miners? that even with a macpro I could do the job(?)
Any ideas, comments or even upvotes are much appreciated :D
