Empathy

 
In life, empathy has guided me,
letting go of the reins of imagination,
exploring what has affected others,
or what fills their hearts with emotion.
I feel the weight of their sorrows and joys,
as if they were my own burdens,
navigating between shadows and melodies,
sharing laughter, tears and bitterness.
Life teaches me to be understanding,
to see beyond the superficial,
to embrace the human and the creative,
and to find in empathy a special gift.
