Rain Rain Rain ☔

So it's been raining all day and I've been really cold. So I decided to play around with a poem.

Sitting in the shed,
Watching the warm and dry weather
Transform into a cold and breezy one
Accompanied by lightning and thunder
I hear my heart race for warmth

With few succinct sounds it begins
Tiiip! tiiip!! tiiip!!!
It cries on the roof top
With temperature dropping in its degree celsius
And my body freezing like water in the freezer
Silently I sing, rain rain go away 🎶

Suddenly the thunder strikes like a canon
Threatening to pull off the roof from its skin
And the rain dropping with increased intensity
Threatening to bore holes in the roof sheets

Though the roof sheets are strong enough to withhold the rain,
Is the room warm enough to quench the cold?
Though the walls are strong enough to hold back the wind,
Can the window and door openings stop the cold breeze?

Like a flowing stream, my heart is flooded with cold thoughts
With decrease in blood pressure
The desire for warmth gets intense
Like a chicken, I run for cover to my bed
With my pillow underneath my head
And my arms wrapped around Theodore ,
I roll beneath the blanket for cover
Truly, it’s a weather for two.
