#EndSARS

The Nigerian community for the past two weeks has witnessed a series of peaceful protests all over the nation. Youths had taken to the streets in various cities to protest peacefully on gory incidences of police brutality on the youths. The brutalities which had been perpetrated by officers of a particular Police unit called the Special Anti-Robbery Squad popularly known as SARS had been fatal in most cases and the Government had done nothing to properly mete out justice to the criminal officers.

The protesters took to the streets stating their demands for the disbandment of the unit, necessary measures are taken to reform the Police force by the Government, and justice is served for the lost lives. The Inspector-General of Police had come out to publicly disband the SARS Unit, but the protesters are not satisfied with the action and are demanding more action from the Government.

In all of these, the President, Muhammadu Buhari had been silent and had not addressed the situation publicly. The protesters are still on the streets and are still letting their voices be heard.
