It had never occurred to me before, when I've had a tyre changed previously, the possibility that they could have fitted it wrongly.

On a scheduled annual service, one eagle eyed mechanic noted that there seemed to be a problem with the tyre that had been fitted some two weeks earlier.

The tyre was fitted by the UK's leading tyre fitting company.

Maybe you too have had a tyre changed today, it could be worth a quick check.

This tyre is I guess of the 'asymmetric’ type, hence the marking on the tyre wall.

It seems most modern tyres are like this and will not perform correctly if fitted in this way, particularly in wet weather.

The lesson here is check the work of the tyre fitters before driving away.
