Wildbird Sunset

This sunset was inspired by my dad and the Kruger Park.
After doing several acrylic paintings, I decided to see if my watercolour technique had improved. I really enjoyed the results so I've done a few. I'll show a couple more in the next posts.

The highlights and Sun is supposed to be achieved with masking fluid but I kinda cheat. I use bleach. A risky ingredient with an unpredictable tendency .
Really fun to use though. Water can be so satisfying ,the way the ink bleeds into it and staining the paper with random patterns, it's an exciting medium. Anyone can give it a try. Food colour, water and a brush....magic.
