Is our society a conflicting identity of itself? If sincerity exists in our land, then there will emerge a HEAVEN, here, on earth. Is it an impossibility that we do not expect from god?
The late pope John Paul II in his visit to Nigeria both in 1982 and 1988 referred to our country as a blessed land flowing with milk and honey; a nation with rich human potential and natural wealth. He saw glory endowed in the land. If it were possible for him to be here again, will he not withdraw his initial statement? If not for the sake of prudence, he would blatantly say that the country is a land that flows with blood and bitterness instead.
There is no doubt that a certain canker worm paints our country black, as well as gives us a bad name. It draws us back and makes it impossible for us to enjoy the fullness. How i wish today we would remove from our land the vampire that sucks dry our success. No doubts our society develops and very fast for that matter. yet, the citizens die of hunger and thirst for the good things of life which are ordinarily supposed to be in abundance for everyone in our land. An analogy of a river that thirsts for water explores this fact to a considerable degree.
