The Flower in the Stone
I've seen these flowers in gardens and other places, like parks and natural spaces, but I've never seen one blooming on stone and cement in the middle of the city.
Like all those plants that grow where you least expect them, I see this as a symbol of resilience, of life forging a path where no one anticipates it.


Its existence was surely ephemeral, and that little plant no longer grows there, but its brief and beautiful existence is captured in this image.
I take this as a reminder to enjoy the small, everyday moments, to notice the details that aren't really hidden or unimportant, but that we ignore because of our hectic pace of life.
