Coffee

Every morning around 6:00 I'm bend over the stove waiting. The moment, the pressure in the moka coffee pot builds up to a point it starts pushing out a dark brown drink. The consistency of the coffee, now and only in those first 10 seconds, looks more like a syrup than a liquid.

I feel like an oilman, I see the oil squirting out of the barren soil. A scene from 'There Will be Blood' with Daniel Day-Lewis in my kitchen. The moka pot fills up, now the coffee looks more like swamp water than oil.
