Fields of Elysium

Five seven year olds scavenging through knee high grass fields with the occasional buttercup and dandelion patch. An early summer sun burning from the west.

Four out of six wear oversized rubber boots -the two remaining neatly fitting ones- under their 'tailored' denim shorts. Footwear useful for crossing shallow lakes. Three brought wooden sticks; support for climbing the unexpected mountain. The fourth has a yellow PVC tube with a sharp point in his hand; handy when hunting for deer. A fifth carries 3 Fanta bottles filled with tab water in his backpack, enough to support life for the coming days.

Adventure awaits..... or at least until 17:00 when the first Casio watch starts to beep and the boys slowly return through the flat Frisian fields home.
