#IamAliveChallenge - Day 2
As I mentioned before, I am a volunteer at two organizations. The Youth Red Cross Suriname and The Community Hub. Being active in both and in different roles has given me experiences that I am grateful for.
Recently, I had been a bit more active at The Community Hub especially on saturdays. From the first week of September until this saturday we worked on a project called Creatief Lezen (Creative Reading). It's a project that occurred every saturday where we accommodated kids in the ages 4 -12 a place where they could be educated and have fun.
As a theme we had *TravelHub * with boarding trips to various countries. Each saturday we "travelled" to countries like China, India, France and Ghana. We gathered as much information we could on these countries to give to the kids in a fun and creative way.
This saturday we closed it off with our very own Suriname and it was a fun few weeks. I learned a lot about patience, communication and working together as a team. Me and every other Hubber that worked on this project had experiences that taught us a lot.
