Hello fellow Hivians!

Lately my guildmates and I have each been diving into Rising Star quite hard and have each taken a different approach. For me, I have mostly just been saving starbits and buying cards directly off the market as I can afford to do so. This has historically enabled me to grow quite quickly.

That said my guild mates took a more forward approach and have opted to buy XP boost cards to quickly grind their accounts to lvl 50 and then outright buy 1 million starbits to allow them to participate in the millionaire mission. I'd argue this is probably a better solution to get into the more fun aspects of the game quickly but that also kills the joy of grinding for me. I like to earn my way in games like this.

Anyways, since you receive 10k starbits per millionaire mission a lot of my mates have been opening packs recently and that has caused an itch for me to start opening as well. Now mathmatically it is far better to grind out 100k starbits and make bulk pack purchases but I don't come anywhere near to making enough starbits quickly enough to do that. As such, I fell trap to buying individual packs.

Now this is obviously a value loss and continues to prove to me that I should just buy cards instead of packs. The total market value of these 3 cards is around 6k compared to the 10k it cost to buy the pack. I could have bought these 3 and possibly another of the newer rares. That said, they are at least unique cards for me and will help me grow my collection.

Unfortunately, the legendary wagginston card looks to be fully minted at this point which was one of the primary motivators for going for packs over cards but Foxon is still available and now JUX, the developer for those that didn't know, also has a card out there.
