Distant Memories

Allowing the distance to fill the emptiness.

The calmness in the morning brings comfort.

Watching as the fog takes over in the surroundings. The air is thick following a cold freeze. The sun has yet to rise. It is slowly starting to peak in the far distance. As the sky slowly brightens the fog begins to clear.

I feel myself getting lost in thought. Finally concentrating on the view and not the emotions that are bringing back broken memories.

Distance can also heal the broken memories.

Our distant hearts allow the unsettling feeling to draw near everything we have worked hard to lock away our hearts may never mend the broken shattered uncertainty we are left with.

It is a powerful loss that we can only hope that within time we cab fully close the chapter and allow the distance to take its own course.
