Rather worrying Reddit thread concerning Electroneum scalability

I just wondered how Electroneum was going to solve the upcoming scaling problems so i googled it.
What I found was this - rather alarming - Reddit thread:

Confronted with the fact that scaling WILL be a problem if ETN gets used more, the developer gets evasive, which is not a good sign from my point of view...
It doesn´t seem like they are too ambitious concerning widespread use of their cryptocurrency.
