My Monomad Challenge Entry _ The Power Of Perseverance And Determination

Good day, everyone. This is my first time posting here. I want to share a lesson I learned from my experience a few years ago.

I registered for WAEC and JAMB in 2020, but I failed an important course in WAEC and had to sit for the exam again. This resulted in hindrances to gaining admission to my preferred school that year. I cried out my eyes, and initially, it seemed like a wasted effort, but in the long run, it wasn't.

I saw my peers preparing to leave for school while I had to prepare to rewrite my exam. I felt bad and very angry with myself, to the extent that it almost affected my mental health. At a point during that period in my life, I had to take a bold step I was ready to rewrite the exam again.

During that period, a friend of mine walked up to me in my mom's shop and told my mom that my mom was wasting her money on me and that thank God she had passed her exam in one sitting. I felt bad, but I didn't allow her words to hinder me from moving forward.

I wrote JAMB and WAEC the next year, and I was given admission to my preferred school.I was just told last week that she recently gained admission after countless efforts. My moral lesson here is that one shouldn't allow failure to stop them from moving forward, and never underestimate others.Thank you for reading.
