GERMAN / VARDAR BRİDGE

Adana has a wonderful bridge from the Ottoman times you have never heard of. Varda Bridge, or German Bridge in other words!
It’s located in Karaisalı/ADANA. It is a historic bridge with a German railway which is still used by German engineering.
Vardar Bridge was established a network on the route from Istanbul Haydarpaşa to Baghdad, Aleppo, Damascus, Hicaz by train with signed project by the Ottoman Sultan II. Abdülhamid and the German Emperor Kaiser Willhem in 1888.
The Ottomans would be able to transport troops, goods and passengers, and the Germans could easily access the oil resources.
