what a feeling

Do you find yourself sometimes in such an incredible moment, that you can't explain the why and accept that this is maybe a small wonder? Or magical? This feeling of pure bliss is so monumental it sure fills the whole soul with peace. For me this moment happend yesterday in a small village in the Black Forrest.
I have to start with the nasty part: Have you've ever heard of migraine? Let me assure you with certainty that an episode is indeed nasty (and every possible synonym of that). You just want it to finally end and be at ease. And exactly at this point, waking up from a exhaustion nap I looked out the window. It was so quiet due to the falling snow and the air so fresh and cold.
There he sat. Right in front of my window. Falco tinnunculus.

What a feeling! So vibrant. To admire his puffed up feathers and watching him preening his beautiful plumage. I simply was swept away by this. And he was patient! He even let me get out of my bed and grab the camera to take those pictures of him.

To add even more magic to this whole story: Today I was waken by the sound of his calling kikikikikiki and until now he stopped by two times. Since he is probably very busy with hunting for his female and their chicks he stayed each time just long enough to look at me.
Maybe I imagine this but it sure feels like he's watching over me, looking right at my soul. And I can only repeat myself: What a feeling!
