Hainanese Chicken Rice: My Best Recipe
They say, "the way to a man's heart is through his stomach."
My husband's favorite meal is Hainanese chicken served with Hainanese chicken rice, a well-known dish in Malaysia and Singapore. I tried learning how to cook this meal for him. I watched a lot of videos on youtube and read a lot of recipes online. After numerous experiments, here is the recipe that worked for us.
Ingredients
Hainanese chicken
3 pieces chicken quarters
4-inch piece of ginger, sliced
Salt
2 stalks of scallions
Water
2 pieces chicken broth cubes
Garlic chives
Sesame oil
Hainanese Chicken Rice
Sesame oil
Chicken fat
3 cloves of garlic
1 tbsp of ginger
4 cups of rice, washed
5-6 cups chicken broth
Cucumber (for garnish)
Sauce
2 tbsp oyster sauce
½ cup chicken broth
1 tbsp seasoning
The format for this video takes inspiration from her 86m2 . I love watching her videos as aside from being a visual feast, they keep reminding me to take things slow. I hope you enjoy watching it.

Oo affordable lang sya. Yung hainanese chicken parang juicy tinola yung lasa nya. Mahilig kasi si marcus sa luya haha. Kahit adobo namin ngayon nilalagyan na ng luya
