Hello, I’m Shane from Butuan, 32 years old and a mom of one year old daughter. So here are a few information about me:

🌿A Plant Lover

I love plants. When I suffered anxiety and depression, it’s one of my therapies. During pandemic when everyone was not allowed to go out, I was more addicted to plant vegetables and flowers. My dog was with me all along, enjoying the soil and helped me dig.

🍿☕️ A Movie Geek

I’m also a movie geek, but I mostly watch a horror, sci-fi and apocalyptic films with coffee and popcorn. I have many favorites of all times but Drag me to Hell, 28 Days Later, Nights of the Living Dead, The Silence, The Cargo, The Quiet Place, Bird Box, The Hills have Eyes, Dawn of the Dead, World War Z, Evil Dead and Cabin in the Woods are the horror movies I can’t forget.

My favorite tv series are The 100, Van Helsing, All of Us are Dead and The Walking Dead.

👩‍👧 A Mom

To be a hands-on mother is the thing I’m enjoying right now because it’s challenging with real affection. You have multitasking everyday but you should move as fast as the thunder. I know I’ll miss this when I’ll be old and she’ll be a young lady. I’ll surely miss her warmth being cradled in my arms. I’ll miss playing with her while laughing together, sing lullabies so she could get to sleep, buy toys even if I’m running out of money and seeing her happiest face when wandering everywhere with me . It’s not forever that we will be together. Soon, she’ll leave me to create her own family. Life is short, while I can do my responsibility as a mother (even not perfect), I should grab this chance to let her feel of my greatest love for her.

👯‍♀️ An Introvert

To know me more, maybe I’m a housewife material ‘coz I enjoy cleaning at home instead of partying and wandering off. I prefer the countryside than urban life. I love decorating and designing the house. I love innocent creatures like babies and animals.

About my social life, I just say “hi” if we are on the same party. I am an observer in a group who prefer to talk less. You’ll see me as an introvert person and you’re right, but I’m talkative if I’m comfy to someone else. I don’t have a lot of friends because to be alone is my comfort zone.

💭 An Optimistic Mom

For 30 years, that was my character. Now that I’m a mom, I’m trying to step up more ‘coz I want my child to explore an exciting youth and childhood; to be more social and adventurous. My life was boring way back then. I disagree in what they say that a person should be on his self, because when you have kids, you’re willing to change yourself in order to be a good role model and I believe that as a parent, we can do anything for our kids.

Since my baby has came on the scene, my mindset for some things has changed. If I cannot value small things before, it is now precious to me. If I couldn’t control my anger before, I am at this point- know how to be patient.

🩺 A Fearless Mom

If I rewind the happenings of my life one year ago and after six months of giving birth, I was depressed I needed surgery. There were six stones found in my gallbladder. According to the doctor, they could melt the stones through medicines, but if the gallbladder isn’t removed, the stones keep coming back and I should be careful to eat foods forever. So, I decided to undergo knives and needles.

Today, I no longer have a gallbladder. Every person can have a normal life without this part of the body. Maybe the effect after the surgery is craving foods many times a day; that is why, a lot of people have gained weight after it’s removal. So, from 54 kg weight, I am now 58 kg. How about you? How are you today? How is your weight? Are you a greasy food lover? Are you a milk lover? And salty foods? I hope not, ‘coz it creates stones in your gallbladder.
