A butterfly or a moth?

I am in the middle of just sitting around under a tree when I suddenly felt something is crawling over my feet,

And saw this type of insect, this is quite common in our place they fly around every afternoon,

And I am really curious of what family it is belong
to a butterfly? or to a moth?

He is quite in pain I have seen his wings broken that is why he is just crawling around, I pity him because he struggles that much and we just seeing them just normal we dont know they were hurt already.

And that is why I started loving some insects because I find them adorable and cute, if you just study them and understand them,
