ZapFic240: Coincidence [🇬🇧 EN / 🇪🇸 ES]

Reading the theme for ZapFic's weekly Monday contest, Coincidence, reminded me of an old story. This is my version, which complies with the contest rules. Telling a complete story in 240 characters is quite a challenge.

Thirst burned my throat. I walked for hours under the desert sun.

The hut was real. A filthy old man opened the door.

-Water, please- I asked.

I felt disgust drinking from the jug.

-What a coincidence, I also drink near the handle! - he said.

Al leer el tema que propone el concurso semanal de los lunes de ZapFic: Coincidencia, recordé un viejo cuento. Esta es mi versión, que cumple con las reglas del concurso. Contar una historia completa en 240 caracteres es todo un reto.

La sed quemaba mi garganta. Caminé por horas bajo el sol del arenal.

La choza era real. Un anciano mugriento abrió la puerta.

-Agua, por favor - le pedí.

Sentí asco al tomar del jarro.

-¡Qué coincidencia, también bebo pegado al asa! - me dijo.
