Human Nature.

Sometimes I'll start painting when it's quiet and my brain goes a million miles per second, & I'll suddenly have an epiphany. For example- you ever wonder why people continuously let horrible humans in their lives, or why they give someone undeserving, multiple chances?
Here's what I just realized. Every once in a while you'll come across someone who is sooo manipulative and so deceiving, that they make you look back at other situations.
Wow- maybe that person was just having a bad 5 years or has an undiagnosed personality disorder or some shit. Maybe they weren't as bad as I originally thought.

Here comes the second or 3rd chances.

It's because we search for humans. Whether an old or new connection, the worst possible thing we can do is to compare people with our worst human experiences. People don't have a string of shitty years where they treat people like garbage. They don't wake up one morning and decide that they will stop manipulating after decades. So before letting humans back in your life, pause for a second and ask yourself if you're using the worst or the best human experiences as the bar standard for your life. Or you'll forever end up in the same frustrating loops. The sick cycle carousel will go on as long as you allow it.
