Is depression the major factor that led to an increase in violence in the society?

The answer is No. Depression means inability to visualize a happy future due to state of mind. It normal to be depress but it shouldn't lead to violence. I can say almost everybody on earth were depressed due to one reason or the other at certain period . The depression might be due to sudden death of loved one , financial problem, divorce and lost of job e.t.c but this does not lead to violence because if it should lead to violence , I think 80% of mankind will have be causing violence. But violence is just an act which causes destruction pain and suffering. Main reasons for violence is 1.unemployment.

2.alcohol ( it very easy to cause violence when there is presence of alcohol marijuana and other hard drinks. This alter the state of mind and it very difficult it reason that the act is right or wrong.)

3.low education standard.
