Iya memiliki bulu-bulu indah, sifatnya agak liar, tidak mau untuk dielus-elus oleh pemiliknya, si jantan bersifat bertanggung-jawab dalam menjaga betinanya, jika betina hendak bertelur, sijantan yang sibuk mencari tempat bertelur, saat setelah bertelur sijantan juga yang berisik berkokok, jantan jenis ini payah untuk berpindah pasangan.
