Dragons Challenge ft. Daria Dragonscale

It's my first time to use the dragon splinter!!! I'm thankful for this week's challenge as it opened my eyes to the world of dragons. 🐉

DRAGON SUMMONER

Daria Dragonscale is an epic summoner that gives +1 melee attack to all allies. Unlike the usual 3 mana summoners, you need to allot 4 mana for this card. I picked this summoner as I usually use melee monsters with the sneak ability.

DRAGON MONSTER

I have lost to multiple dragon teams and most of them have Djinn Chwala in the first position. This card is worth 8 mana. Yes, it is kind of a lot, but a level 3 Djinn Chwala has 3 melee attack at 2 speed and 10 health with 6 armor. It doesn't stop there, this epic monster has the thorns ability! What a catch! With that, I have decided to try it out together with Daria Dragonscale.

1ST BATTLE

This is a 13 mana match with the following rules:

Melee Mayhem: Melee attack monsters can attack from any position
Fog of War: Monsters lose the sneak and snipe abilities

My enemy used a level 3 Zintar Mortalis so basically, Daria Dragonscale's +1 melee buff got cancelled out. I used Djinn Chwala in the first position followed by Furious Chicken and Creeping Ooze. The melee mayhem is perfect for this lineup!

Chicken and Ooze instantly died in round 1 upon attacking my frontliner. Thorns ability for the win!

The 3 melee attack of Djinn Chwala outperformed the heal of haunted spirit and finally, during the 3rd round, haunted spider is the only one left in the enemy's team. Spider cannot attack in the first position so the game is already over.

Overall, the combo of Daria with a high melee attack monster like Chwala really brings doom to enemies!

2ND BATTLE

This is a 26 mana match with the following rules:

Explosive Weaponry: All monsters have the blast ability
Rise of the Commons: Only common and rare monsters may be used in battles

I have ZERO CASUALTY in this battle!

My enemy used a level 3 Lyanna Natura together with the usual Flesh Golem healer. The +1 melee attack from Daria is not enough for me so I used Silvershield Knight in the first position, giving me a total of +2 melee attack! My team also includes Silvershield Assassin, Feral Spirit, Elven Cutthroat, Divine Healer, and Furious Chicken. I usually put chicken at the back to protect myself from sneak attacks.

I prioritize high speed monsters whenever the rule is explosive weaponry. This is to take advantage of the blast ability and possibly kill 2 enemies in 1 hit. This happened as Silvershield Assassin killed Javelin Thrower and Venari Seedsmith at the same time.

Moving on to round 2, Flesh Golem is the only enemy left and he could not outheal my 4 melee attacks!

Daria works perfectly with my life team since there is no Life Summoner that gives an additional melee attack. When paired with Silvershield Knight and the blast rule, enemies will definitely take a ton of damage!

FINAL THOUGHTS

The dragon splinter is certainly a powerful one! The synergy of dragon monsters with any go-to team you use is worth trying. I'm grateful for this week's challenge for encouraging me to finally try out dragons! Thank you and good luck on your battles!
