Giant Skull Sketching in Procreate

Hey everyone, I am glad to be here. Today, I had some not-so-busy day at work, so I let my imagination run out. I am a beginner, as I introduced myself here, but I love procreate and I learn new things every day.

I practice, and practice, but today I decided to create something. It may not be something amazing for some of you, but it's an achievement for me.

As I've said, I am a beginner at sketching, but I love to do it. I don't know how my imagination came out with this, but here it is. Now, let me go a bit through my sketching process.

I used the 6B pencil to create a brief sketch for further inking. I didn't take into account the opacity and the size was moderate.

Afterwards, I created another layer and started inking it out with both Studio Pen and Gesinski Ink. Those two pens are the ones I used throughout my sketching, even for colouring (beginner).

After I managed to ink everything, I disabled the first layer I used for sketch and I started slowly to fill in with colours. I didn't used any specific colour pallets, I used the above-mentioned pens with lower opacity and multiple inked with colours to have different opacity levels to create shading impression. I also used different shades of those colors and combined them with lower opacities to give details (as much as it was in my skills)

It took me several hours to complete this 'artwork" - or how to call it. But I like it, to be honest, it gives me hope for better ones in the future.
