Red & Green

800px_COLOURBOX8184102.jpg
The cold blows in from outside but the fire is warm there within,

colors of green, red and white and the juniper fragrance of tonic and gin.

Felicity abounds in the silence and joy flows into the corners,

peace mixed with love flows to all between the natives and the foreigners.

And in the dark a bright light shines, it melts the icy air,

clad in ashen skin and adorned in raven hair.

Standing before me all aglow, naked for my eyes to behold

a wonder of wonder, her warmth for my hands to hold.

A touch in the night amid twinkles of light,

a taste of moist lips between shimmering hips,

an aroma of love from below and above,

and a captured heart indulging in all her parts.

She beckons to me on the wintry mountain to share a lifelong dream,

but the fathoms of her essence is much deeper than it seems,

year after year, entangled in the maze,

refreshed in her affection, lost in her gaze.

Basking in the light of the fire that we’ve made,

sheltered from the cold of the dues that we’ve paid.

Her bosom is where love lives in the midst of the frozen and the hate,

and I espouse her cause as we plan and contemplate

what the future holds for us on this cold dark winter’s night,

and I know we’ll be just fine if we keep each other in plain sight.

So, on this Christmas night on the dawn before a new year,

I send you my love from across the miles to fill you with warmth and cheer.

For there’s no one in this big wide world I’d rather share this life,

than with you amid joy and strife.
