Being a Godparent

A special day today for both my niece Ariana Ayesha and me as today was her christening day. Moreover, I was chosen to be one of her godmother and I feel so honored to be her godmother as I feel privileged to have that special relationship with my godchild.

So what does it mean by Christening?

For the knowledge of all Non-Christian Steemians like me, FYI Christening refers to the naming ceremony of a child.

However, I understand that being a godmother means more than just standing up at the front of the church. It is more about fulfilling my responsibilities as a godmother. The minister of the church explained to me about helping and encouraging the growth of my goddaughter.

Being her godmother, I know I will always keep her safe from all harm and love her all my life, the way I have been doing until now.

After the ceremony ended at the church, we headed home for a small celebration with family members and friends.

A day filled with full of memories. I can’t wait to be a better Godmother in the coming future.
