Sukhi Seviyan

Also known as semiyan in Hindi, vermicelli is a widely used ingredient in Indian cooking with which you can make sweet and savory food both. Talking of sweet dishes, one dessert that Sindhis love to prepare at home on festivals and special occasions is Sukhi Seviyan, which is nothing but a dried version of seviyan prepared with milk. This is one of the easiest dessert recipes that you can make on occasions like anniversaries and pot lucks, and will be loved by all. An easy-to-make dish, this seviyan recipe is cooked using vermicelli which is roasted in ghee and then cooked in milk and water along with dry 59423503.jpg. Step 1

Put a non-stick pan on medium flame and heat ghee in it. Then lightly crush the vermicelli and put it in the pan. Roast the vermicelli until golden brown in colour.

Step 2

Then add sugar, green cardamon powder, mixed dry fruits (which includes almonds, cashews and raisins) along with water. When the water starts boiling, cover with a lid and cook on low flame till all the liquid is absorbed. (Note: you can save some dry fruits for garnishing)

Step 3

Sukhi seviyan are ready, garnish it with dry fruits that you have saved and serve hot!
