Pottery making - the beginning
I started to throw pots some 15 years ago. Before that I did courses in slab building and raku firing.
These are some pots I made in the early years. 
And this one is more recent.
I am very interested in developing glazes and trying new things. I like to experiment with firing techniques. In my next posts I hope to write about those ventures.

Keep posting, commenting, upvoting ...its slow going ( but will get better if we don't give up) but it is promoting good content which is important.
Thanks Simon, I am eager to find out more about steemit. It would be nice to have a new potters community. I watched many of your tutorials on youtube. It is always interesting to see a professional ceramist at work. And yes I keep practicing :)
Well I am learning and have only been here for one week , seems like it could be a good platform for interaction with a little earning as well, which is always nice !

I am still trying to figure out how things can be found here. The system of tags is a bit rough. Search for potter and I find Harry. I guess I should register on the chat. I have not seen any interest groups here yet.
At present there are few potters ...we need more ! ....I am still not able for some reason to get into the chat room as it says incorrect password ! yes they are rather long are they not !
It is odd, but you need to register again for the chat, the login for steemit does not work. I registered as clayterreklei . However, I did not find a lot of help yet. It is not your usual forum with topics and sub-topics apparently.

No I don't speak occitan, some of the people here still do. English is easier for me than German or French. I worked for a company for 25 years that has English as its language and I lived in Texas. I look forward to your article on ceramics in your area.
