Is it true that Bitcoin core is mathematically impossible to be decentralized using the Lightning Network?

Recently, I read an article on Medium through the cryptocurrency platform Refind about the Lightning Network and Bitcoin core. It states and explains in-depthly why Bitcoin core is not capable of being decentralized using the Lightning Network. The article uses mathematical models to prove its conclusion in a three part format. I found it an interesting read and would love to hear your opinions on it's conclusion that Bitcoin is mathematically impossible to be decentralized while using the L.N..
