HOW TO GET MONEY WITH HIVE

How to make money on HIVE:
- CONTENT CREATION:
- Just like on conventional social media platforms -> Sell things, Giveaways, contests, Advertising, Sponsorship deals, Donations
- Important: present Quality content, be consistent and active, create connections with others.
- Interact with people with whom you have things in common.
- Try to catch the attention of those with a lot of voting power and influence.
- Tip: specialize your account and build a community of followers that love what you post (create a niche).
- Try to make individuals interact with your account, tag it and spread your account through the platform
- UPVOTING & COMMENTING
- HIVE Rewards pools: distributed based on the VOTES that are given out every day by the users. Therefore those who receive the most votes from the biggest holders of HIVE Power may receive the most new HIVE tokens.
- When you delegate HP to others, you get a dividend from 50% of the total Hives collected in that post
- Also...
- Post, comment and vote on a daily basis
- Interact with diverse platforms
- Comment and show kind support to other users

- The “passive” way to earn
- It works by you lending your HP to others, which then use it to interact, upvote and comment. After a week has passed, you get a dividend out of there.
- Also, you can take back your delegations whenever you want, just keep in mind this action will take a few days to complete.

Sorry, but that is just not correct. You don't get any dividend after a week if you delegate.
You get nothing. That is why there are delegation services like DLease. The delegatee (receiver) needs to pay up front, and the service pays out a daily amount to the delegator. The service is the middleman that automates the payout.
If I just delegate you any amount of Hive Power, I get literally ZERO return on that.

When you upvote, you get about 50% of the voting power back that you added to that post (if you voted after the 5minute mark). You also earn parts of the curation rewards of that post, so your total return can be bigger than 50%.
The passive way to earn (delegation) is to sell your voting power to another user who wants more influence on the platform. He will pay you through a delegation service like DLease. Without the agreement to sell voting power, a delegation gives no dividend (return on investment) to the delegator.

There are people who want a delegation. And delegators can fill those requests (called leases).
The site makes money of a small fee that is added to the amount that the requestor will pay.
If you fill a lease there, you get a daily payout.

Checked it out & it looks like what I'd make in 4 weeks is less than fees I'd pay...
You can get 12.69 HIVE for leasing out 1000 HIVE for a month (152,28 for a year). The fee that they keep is 10% I think.
The APR (applied to a year) is 14.04.% for doing nothing other than letting your money work for you. I'd say that is a good deal if you are not a good curator or don't have the time.

I signed up & cancelled (losing 24 Hive).
How did you lose 24 Hive, I am not sure if that is even possible.
What do you mean with sign up? You just need to login with keychain and fill a lease on the site.
Why did you cancel?

You seem to be really confused. You told me you wanted to lease out your HP for a reward. And now you requested more HP... If you request HP you get zero reward, you have to pay...
I am really confused... & by your reply, too. I told you I was looking to delegate HP (you introduced the term "lease"). You provided me with a link which I followed and signed up for & when I discovered yield was minuscule, I cancelled.
Sorry, if this has been a nuisance to you. I did say, from the outset, I was a Luddite.
There are two different buttons... "Request a Lease" (I want more HP) and "Delegate"(I want to earn risk free passive income)
