Hello everyone! Spring has arrived, and although this plant I'm going to focus on is quite generous, giving us flowers practically year-round, and adapting very well to sun exposure and winter, I've always known it as "the periwinkle," never by its scientific name (Vinca rosea or Catharanthus roseus). I'd never given it the slightest thought, and only recently, when I started to become interested in plants, have I learned that there are eight species. I'd always seen them in white and purple, but now here in my garden, I have some in different colors. I only knew that the white periwinkle was very good for making compresses when someone had conjunctivitis—I even needed it myself on occasion. But now, through Google, when I decided to research it, as I do with so many other plants, I've discovered that it's also very beneficial, as it helps fight cancer, something I never suspected. Life is full of surprises...
