Hello Steemit
Hello everyone, I am new to Steemit and new to this whole crypto world so I am excited to learn and be a part of the community.
I was born in Melbourne-Australia but moved to the sunny Gold Coast about 11 years ago. The Gold Coast is a coastal city in Queensland just a few hours flight north of Melbourne. I am happily married to my beautiful wife and I have 3 children, 2 sons, and a daughter. I am a photographer so you are going to see a lot of posts packed with photography. I will also like to do health based post's as I have a lot of experience dealing with mental health and tips and techniques that can help.
I have battled with mental illness from a young age (depression) (Bipolar2) (Anxiety) and it has been a hard road, over the last few years I have made some big changes in my life and I have done a lot of work on myself to find inner peace. I would like to share techniques that I have learned along the way, books and other material that have changed my life for the better.
I am very excited about cryptocurrencie, I feel like it is a good opportunity to help my family get a little ahead in life and I look forward to getting to know many of you.

Welcome @matt-robertson great post. Im also new to Steemit and crypto-investing. I have already learned a few lesson already about not getting to excited in crypto. Do your home work on the company like investment and use only money you can't part with. Your content will be right up my ally. Here a few tips for starters snce you probably won't get any advice from those who comment under here, here's what I gathered thus far.
It's tough to make money at first so if that's your main cause to be on here grind that into your head straight away, that doesn't mean you shouldn't post content, you should, but enganging with others in the comment sections to grow your following is your best bet. Which categories?
Probably the introduce yourself one and the photography section but you can choose things that you have knowledge about too and then go from there just know that there is a lot of crap on here so plowing through that just to connect with others can be tough. Cheers.

cool thanks for the advice, I only just heard about steemit, like any one I would like to make money if possible but i was attracted to this because it is new well it's in the earlier days. I am a bit tired of facebook and I have been waiting to hear about something new for awhile and this could be what I have been looking for.
I still have a lot to learn tho, I published a blog yesterday that I wrote and ithasn'tt really been seen so i guess I need to work out the best times to post.
