Do you want to see dinosaurs?

Do you want to see dinosaurs? This question gave me by my partner (@lovelyscape) Saturday morning. I wondered what he was talking about and thought he drank something more than just morning coffee 😅. But he asked me again with a big smile on his face.
He patiently waited for my answer, so I said: Yes, why not.
After my answer, he told me to be ready at one o'clock for a trip.

After lunch, I prepared myself and waited for my partner outside in front of the main door. It was a lovely sunny spring day, and the temperature felt like summer in the UK. At that time, my partner gave me another surprise. We will go with his friends, and his father will be driving a car.
I still didn't know where we were going, but I enjoyed the view from the car window of the Romanian countryside. It's so beautiful. I took some pictures even during the ride.

Around one hour later, we stopped upfront of the big wooden gate with a wooden sight Dinosaur Transylvania. This vast area is famous for its archaeological sites and discoveries of unique fossil remains of dinosaurs in this area. My partner didn't joke about the dinosaurs. I was so excited, like a small kid.

There were a few sights with information about the local area, dinosaur species and a touristic map near the cash register. One of the sights informs us that this area became a UNESCO Global Geopark in 2015 and is part of Europian and Global Geopark Networks.

I noticed that one of the species has a name based on the name nearest city, Hateg.

My partner and I walked through the park and admired all the sculptures of dinosaurs and bears. There are several playgrounds for small kids, and some of them have a statue of dinosaurs in the middle.

Near the creek were built many types of wooden branches, some of them with wooden tables, as a relaxation area.

Later we find out that Animal Ranch is included in the park. They have donkeys, American bison, horses, dwarf goats, ponies and alpacas on the ranch. One family even took a ride on the ponies, and there was a horse ready for a ride.

At the farthest end of the park, there was an enclosure with donkeys and American bison. The bison were incredible.

After such a long walk through the park, we became thirsty. We decided to visit a restaurant and buy some drinks. I was astonished by the amount of wood they must use for this building, furniture and surrounding sculptures.

When we finished the drinks, I wanted to see the view from the tower. There was a marvellous view of the snowy mountains and surrounding park. Later, I learned from a map that the mountains are Retezat National Park. I thought it would be a good idea for another trip during the summer period.

Time passed quickly, and suddenly we realised that we must go back home. I took the last picture of the mountain from the car park. We stopped at the nearby dam to take photos of the Retezat mountains on the way back.

After we arrived home, we were a bit tired, but we enjoyed the trip to Dinosaur Transylvania park.
