Our Chaotic & Delicious Friday Night: Grill Night + A Fun New Card Game

Hello everyone! 🥰
We gathered again because my brother Tan will soon be heading back to where he stays now. Just like what I've been sharing these past few days, we're making the most of every moment we have together while he's still here. 💛
We decided to have a grill night. 🍗🔥
Actually, the original plan was to grill a big tilapia fish. But sadly, it wasn't available that day. So we went for chicken instead.
While grilling it, we also paired it with some cold drinks. Hihi

The fire was being so generous that night. The flames kept getting bigger and stronger. Haha. Of course, some parts started to get burned. 🤦🏻♀️ We were laughing while trying to blow on the coals, adjusting the rack. It was chaotic but so much fun. 😆
But you know what? The result tasted just like the chicken from Mang Inasal. It's perfectly seasoned, smoky, and savory. 😋🤤
After that, we also ate dinner. My sister prepared kimchi. It's spicy but the kind that makes you want more instead of stopping. Then a kaldereta.

After we finished eating, the boys headed outside, and us girls stayed inside.
We played a game called 99. It was my first time playing it, and it was so much fun! 🥰
If you want to play it too, I will share how we played it. It's super easy to learn, but also tricky and exciting. Haha

The goal is to keep the running total at 99 or below. Because if you make it go over 99, you'll lose that round. As simple as that!
Each player should have 4 cards to start. The remaining cards go face-down in the middle as a draw pile. Then, we start with one card. That will be the starting number.
On my turn, I will play one card, add its value to the running total, and say it out loud. I will also draw a new card to maintain the 4 cards in my hands. And each player will take turns.
But here's the tricky part... Some cards have special effects.
Ace = +1
2-5 = Add their face value (Ex. +2, +3, +4, +5)
6 = Switch cards (swap one card with another player)
7 = Double drop (the next player will drop two cards and draw two new cards)
8 = 0 (adds nothing)
9 = Reverse (change the direction of turns)
10 = -10
It was so funny and exciting, panicking when it got close to 99, and laughing whenever someone's struggling with their cards. I love it when I have the 6-10 cards, not until it gets swapped. 🫣😆
We played so many rounds and didn't want to stop, though it's getting late. Lol.
Thank you so much for reading. I really appreciate you all. 💛 See you in my next post! 🩷✨
