How much success / adoption does Steemit NEED?
So I've been thinking on this SMT thing and the arguments back and forth about development around these parts and I'm curious as to opinions about what success would look like for different folks.
Is it world domination or nothing?
Is just being credible alternative to Farcebook enough?
Does anyone want to keep things as they are - small and homey?
What do you want and what do you think you will get; if we could gaze into my crystal ball to 5 years from now?
For me, I'm ok not being number 1 if we are still a contender. Organic growth is often maligned but for me that combined with Steemit's unique value proposition is good enough. Good things come to those who wait; might they come sooner to those who levarage? Sure maybe.. but maybe not. All opinions gratefully received ☺

I think only time will tell in terms of this platform. The world of cryptocurrency is set to explode barring government interference. At the moment I am happy that innovative platforms such as this are being created and utilized in creative ways. If it gains traction, which I hope it does then great, if it only remains as an information sharing platform then fine, at least it makes for great reading!!
Yes very true. Its great as it is and anything extra is just a bonus.
Hopefully this place can be one little feedback loop in the greater vortex of all things crypto so that people get into crypto via steemit and vice versa
