Steemit - what is happening?

I try to count my blessings, make a list of what I'm grateful for each day and there are always a lot of things to note but despite striving for a serene outlook on life, working as best I can each day to be the best me I can be for myself, for those closest to me and for the world at large - goddam Steemit what in the actual fuck is going on? 

I'm writing this in full expectation I won't be able to post  and have made a deal with myself not to piss and whine about it when it doesn't work but if, just IF it does actually post can anyone tell me why this previously great site has turned into such an unresponsive turd over recent days?

I can't upvote, can't resteem, can't comment or do anything else social - this is kind of a big deal for a social network. I'm sure there is a reason, a really good reason - honestly, I don't care though. I think we all need a solution not a reason
