Hello michelel! Welcome to Steemit! Hope you'll like the community here. As a start, here are 5 tips that we believe will be helpful to you:

1. Keep your passwords safe: Unlike conventional sites, Steemit has 4 types of passwords. Each offers varying degrees of access to your account, so know where and when to use each of them. Also, make sure to keep them all safe and secure.
2. Get Steem rewards: When writing a post, you'll have the option to choose how to receive your reward: "Default 50%/50%" or "Power Up 100%". As of this moment, choosing Default 50%/50% is the better option. But this can change over time. Check our post to know more.
3. Upvote wisely: When upvoting, wait at least 30 minutes after the post is published to maximize your curation reward. Also, make sure not to upvote too much too fast so as not to drain your voting power.
4. Know your Steem, Steem Dollars and Steem Power: Steem and Steem Dollars are the 2 main currencies here. Convert and power up more Steem into Steem Power so you can have higher values on your upvotes.

welcome to steemit, i myself actually have aspergers, depending how bad it is, depends how bad it is to deal with, mine isnt too bad, just makes me a a bit quirky and i have my certain triggers as i call them that when people set off they get a ear full, i dont deal with certain things very well

It is obviously a passion of mine due to my daughter. Its as much a part of my life as it is for her.
I have so many questions for you. Do you mind talking about it?
My experience with Sian (my daughter) is that communicating is extremely difficult. She has a hard time telling me stuff, however, we found out that she can write it better than saying it. So I have little notes everywhere in my house. I treasure each one like gold as this is my only way to understand her feelings.
I would love to hear from you again, even if you just need to chat. I think the more people read about this the better as Aspergers is grossly miss understood. Big hug to you!

I am a little bit overwhelmed with steemit/SBD currency's and it works with upvoting and other actions on this platform.
I see there is a few articles I was referred to. just need to sit still for a few minutes and read it. However, do you have a fast easy to understand description in the mean time for me
