Moody Masquerade - Getting Creative with Light Placement

Here's a photo from 2013 of my good friend Chantel, a local hair/makeup artist. This was back when I was just a novice at strobe lighting and every shoot was a complete and absolute experiment.

Lit in a two light setup. Key light is a camera left socked 22" white beauty dish with reflector below for fill. Camera right is the background light which is a strobe with an 8" reflector firing directly at the background. This can be replicated easily with speedlights, just use any soft directional modifier for key. Background is a 9 foot roll of thunder grey seamless paper.
