How to write Stand Up Comedy

Writing jokes is one thing. Writing Stand Up Comedy is another. This is the system I use to create material on 1 topic.

Step 1 : Write any though that comes to you. (being it's July 5th my first thought was Fireworks)

Step 2 : make a list of things connected to the topic.

Step 3 : research the topic for more INTEL add to the list.

Step 4 : Write out jokes (not everyone will be good. You'll see in the video how they got better as I wrote them.)

Step 5 : Test and Tune the jokes (aka bit) try them on friends, family or anyone you talk to. (if you have Confidence, Comedy Timing, Delivery, persona take them straight to the stage.)

Step 6 : Bring it to the stage (just get the jokes out there gage how it's going.)

Step 7 : Re-Write (test and tune some more.)
