High tide adventure

I went on a walk on the most beautiful day.

The light and color were so wonderful.

I’ve had a very sad week and this walk is just the médecine I needed.

On the beach, the tide had come up further than ever with the last full moon, and feet of dune were taken down,

Scattering the beach in debris.

I know these paths and beaches so well, but this was like exploring another planet.

I was sad because the dune receding is evidence that my home is crumbling into the sea, but I was the to see the beauty in the destruction.

I walked about 4 miles in total.

I came across so many natural treasures.

And trash!

Until the tide came up so high again that I could no longer walk along the beach.
