Calçots. Typical catalan food
Hi! The other day I went to @ximeta house's and we make a bbq with meat and calçots.
Calçots are a giant onion that's cook on the bbq and then they're wrapped with paper.
For eating them you need to separete the layer blackened by the fire and shows us a juicy white core.
The tip is dipped in romersco sauce and the calçot is put directly to our mouth.
The food was delicious and I enjoy a lot the food and the company.

HI @monnv this bbq or yours is one I believe I would enjoy. Our house is never without potatoes, eggs and ONIONS. I have never heard of Calçots which look like leeks on the photo, but I'm up for giving anything a go for the first time. I love raw and fried onion, as well as pickled onions, but recently I've been boiling them and gutted I never cooked them this way before. Regardless I am now.
