In layers...
Splitting wood the past few days. Not too sure what exactly this stuff is. Hickory maybe. Mostly know it don't want to come apart easily. I understand. I would't be all too thrilled about it either.

That filter is awesome! I love how you can see that the tree has sone decades with a lot of rain and then some with less.
