Advice for a newbie needed
Hello fellow Steemers,
I am in dire need of help! New here, so still trying to learn the ropes. So, I have bitcoin stored on my Electrum wallet, what is the best way to shift this stuff over to Steem? I did go through blocktrade.us as the steem wallet suggests, (I also used this site to try and get some dogecoin, to no avail) but did that about 12 hours ago. My blocktrades account says it is pending, but it isn’t on my electrum anymore. I have moved some bitcoin to Steem once before, but it was also quite laborious. Does anyone know of a more efficient way of moving my cryptos about? Any help would be happily received!

I am also a newbie and what i've learned so far from being here only for a week is that consistency is key! Keep posting everyday and you will get better. Laos make interesting content! :)
hi, i transfer bitcoin onto a trading platform called poloniex once it is on there, i use it to purchase all sorts of different crypto's. there are many trading platforms but the one i use is poloniex.

You can purchase STEEM with BTC on a few exchanges like Poloniex and Bittrex. Unfortunately, when I checked today, withdraws and deposits for STEEM on Poloniex is disabled due to the hard fork that just occurred.
You might want to wait a bit before purchasing any as it's in a bit of a funk right now.

Hi! Brilliant news to hear! both you and @raange suggested poloniex, so I shall try that one. Do you know if there are huge transaction fees? I am also wanting to get in to Dogecoin, heard that will pop!!! thanks again!
